The only thing that the Joboshare DVD to BlackBerry Converter is designed to do is to rip DVDs to your BlackBerry - period. It does this one job very well. Just open the program, select your favorite DVD, hit the rip button and go make yourself a sandwich. Its that simple. Ripping speeds are fast, at around 300X depending on output size and codec selection. The interface is clear and easy to get around. And there’s a choice of English or Chinese languages.

The one shortcoming of the Joboshare DVD to BlackBerry Converter - video adjustment controls. There are no brightness or saturation controls for your rip, only luminance. For us it was no big deal because throughout the dozen or so ripping tests that we ran, every output file looked and sounded great - rich color, full sound and flawless digital reproduction.

This truly is the one BlackBerry video converter that anybody can use, and be very happy that they did.

Note: MPEG-4 conversions are faster but H.264 conversions usually have smaller file sizes. Conversion speeds are fast, around 300X, but that depends on output size and codec selection. The interface layout is clean. And there’s a choice of English or Chinese languages.

The only downside to the Joboshare BlackBerry Video Converter is the video adjustment controls - if you want to tweak your conversion with a little brightness or saturation, you’re out of luck because there are no such controls. Luminance is the only enhancement available. But this isn’t as bad as it sounds. Through all the conversions we did, we were always pleased with the final output - great color, full sound, and flawless digital conversion.

The Joboshare BlackBerry Video Converter is the one BlackBerry video converter that anybody can use, and be very happy that they did. Good news for the Apple set - there’s a Mac version.

“Complete” is a good way to describe the 3Herosoft DVD Ripper Platinum Suite. It has more format settings for file conversions and DVD rips than you may ever need, with sizes from 320×240 all the way up to 1280×720.

The conversion quality and speed are impressive - they easily match the best conversion programs listed on Easy Mobile Video.

The package is two individual programs: a DVD Ripper and a Video Converter. With two programs come two separate shortcuts for your desktop, so if you like keeping things separated, you’ll like this set-up.

The robust interface is self-explanatory and dead-easy to navigate. The conversion quality and speed are impressive - they easily match the best conversion programs listed on this site.

The glaring shortcoming is in adjusting the video conversion with brightness, contrast and saturation or even enhancing the volume - no such controls - even the Trim function is weak. For most of us, we won’t miss those settings because the software does a good conversion job without them. But for those who absolutely need to tweak their videos, the options are limited.
